Monday Must Have : Kate Spade

I'm not really sure when this happened but some sorority girl style settled in and I'm recently obsessed with Kate Spade. Gone are the old box bags  for a 2013 upgrade that is still classic but fit for the forward fashionista. The pale pink and black combos drive me to channel my inner Jackie O and finish my look off with a strand of pearls and chic Chanel jacket. Oh Kate, how I love these bags!

Red Carpet 2013: SAG

Forget an all black ensemble, these beautiful actresses stepped out at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in all Navy. Head to toe in the midnight blue numbers, all 3 ladies gave us the perfect amount of red carpet glam! So classic, minimal accessories were required. Both Jennifer and Amanda complimented the trumpet style gown with side swept waves and Nicole Kidman's gown brought on the sparkle.

Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2013

No matter what the season every Zac Posen collection delivers Red Carpet worthy gowns, he understands how to transform old Hollywood glamour into a modern beauty. It came as no surprise that Amanda Seyfried shined in the Navy number. This isn't the first of the collection to be worn on the Red Carpet this year, Naomi Watts was regal in red at the 2013 Emmy's here. 

Zac Posen Pre Fall 2013

I would love to see someone in this ballerina inspired piece before award season wraps up. I nominate Anne Hathaway at the Oscars, her short Mia Farrow cut would pair perfectly with ultra feminine silhouette plus redeem her from her most recent red carpet flop. Inauguration 2013 Recap: Michelle Obama

I've been waiting for Michelle's inaugural fashions since Barack was reelected and for the special occasion she definitely delivered. Her fashion sense continues to develop, with bold and modern pieces but still maintains refined. What's most respectable is even with her presidential income, she mixes designer duds with affordable price tags.

So Obsessed: Haute Heritage

The current object of my affection, this belted printed dress by Halston Heritage. Why do I love it? There is just something about the modern take on the June Cleaver silhouette that I just can't get enough of. It is contemporary with a bold graphic print and sweet with a full skirt. At $395, it won't make it into my closet but if it did I've planned it perfectly. I'd trek to all my future job interviews in this number with a white blazer, nude pumps and in lieu of that black belt, a skinny turquoise belt. A girl can dream right?

Arm Crook Carrier

I'm a sucker for any editorial quiz or questionnaire that claims abilities to match your personal style to your personality (I blame the endless subscriptions cosmo for my little guilty pleasure). Currently Refinery 29 is analyzing the inner you by deciphering "What Your Bag Holding Style Says About You". With endless options from the "Armpit Vice" to the "Third Arm Drape",  I discovered my handbag holding technique is the "Arm Crook Hook". According to body language expert, Patti Wood, the "limp handed style screams power...you feel you've got a sense of superiority". Whether this holds  true or not who knows but I'll take my read as not too shabby. I've been wearing my purse strap across by elbow since I was small, my high school friends referring to it as "old lady style"but if in fact it means I reign supreme I don't mind it at all. Find our what your "purseonality" says about you here and if you're and arm crook carrier like myself, you'll  love these tote styles under $100.

Red Carpet 2013: Golden Globes

I always tune in for any award show so to see what the stars are wearing. Celebs are always adorned in designer dresses, great make up, lucisous locks and million dollar accessories. But to be best dressed you have to look good from head to toe. The following ladies made the cut and wowed at the 2012 Golden Globes.

Taylor Swift gave us a chic surprise in an elegant Donna Karan Atelier 

Lea Michele looks model-esque in Elie Saab

Kerry Washington get is right per usual in Miu Miu.

Loved how modern and sleek Katherine McPhee looked in Theysken's Theory.

Nearly naked in navy, Juliana Margulies looks super sexy in a sheer and backless number by Emilio Pucci.

I always love everything Jennifer Lopez wears and this lacy look by Zuhair Murad looks as if it were painted on.

Although I loved all these looks on the ladies, I would have loved to see more color on the red carpet. Hopefully we will see more hot hues at the Oscar's!!!

Covergirl Crush:Beyoncé Knowles-Carter GQ 2013

You may or may not know that I absolutely adore Beyoncé . I was more than ecstatic to find out she will be performing at The Mercedes - Benz Superdome for the 2013 Superbowl and quite frankly, I haven't been this thrilled about the Superbowl since the New Orleans Saints won in 2010 (something about New Orleans and the Superbowl creates perfect harmony). Thematic to her upcoming performance, Beyonce posed in a 6 page spread for GQ magazine's February 2013 issue. In the article titled "Miss Millennium", Amy Wallace, GQ Corespondent, refers to the mega starlet and her iconic stature as "a melding of the as the aspirational and the unattainable", and I could not agree more. A feat in its own, Beyoncé  is one of the few Hollywood superstars who could pose on the cover of men's magazine in $490 Agent Provocateur panties and still be deemed classy. She has everything one could desire and her successful career, ideal image and trailblazing relationship as wife of Jay-Z,  make her the focus of both envious females' distaste and  super fans admiration. With a HBO documentary in development and a world tour underway (which I will be in attendance) for her up and coming 5th solo album, Beyonce continues to grow her career as a strong, talented and independent artist. Her interview closed with her thoughts on her success, "I know that, yes, I am powerful. I am more powerful than my mind can even digest & understand". With an independent mind and a body to kill for, as a woman, I would argue we would all love to be as powerful as Beyoncé .

When I saw this vest in Club Monaco I knew I could not live without it. Although I am a fan of a big faux fur vest for the Winter  I thought feathers would be a nice change. Super light but equally fluffy, I was immediately attracted to it's unique plum color. Because the shade stands out on its own, I didn't want to distract from it so I paired this fluffy number with an all black ensemble and little flecks of gold. Hands down this vest is one of my favorite pieces in my closet right now. I wore this outfit to the CFDA Fashion Incubator event at the W Hotel last month, you can see it again here.

Fancied: 2013 Everyday Sparkle

Happy New Year Beauties!!!! I know everyone looked super fabulous last night to ring in 2013 and most of us added some sparkle! The NYE 2013 look was definitely glittered with sequin mini skirts, sexy dresses and stilettos. Instead of just conserving the gilded for New Year's Eve, I challenge everyone to shine all of 2013. Bring on the glitz glam everyday by making something sparkle in your everyday wardrobe.
